The Denver Special running between Chicago and Denver on the Chicago and North Western and Union Pacific will resume service May 28. It departs Chicago 6 05 p m and reaches Denver 8 59 p m next day. eastbound Denver departure 10 30 a m arrive Chicago 3 55 p m next day. Cars include observation buffet lounge standard sleeping chair dining. Colorado Special and Colorado Express continue on current schedule. Also notes church notices and local ads for Ashton Bradford and gospel events.
The Federal Land Sub-Division Co has cleared land in Costello Heights Ashton, grading streets and planting trees for a high class subdivision. Mrs. Elizabeth Linda Drummond Hogan died Sunday at her home south of Chana after a long illness. Born July 18 1847 in Lafayette township she lived much of her life north of Ashton and was married to William Hogan in 1871. Funeral services Tuesday at Washington Grove Church were conducted by Rev. K C Geeding with interment in Washington Grove cemetery.
