Beloved Doctor Dr Henry A Bremmer Dies at Rochelle Hospital
Dr Henry A Bremmer a prominent Ashton physician died Sunday evening at Lincoln Hospital Rochelle from heart trouble after a year of illness. Born November 19 1851 in Germany he came to America in 1866 and practiced medicine in Ashton since 1899. Funeral services were held at his home and St John Lutheran church with large attendance and Odd Fellows burial rites. He leaves a wife Mary S Berghoefer a daughter Katherine Flexner of Dixon and two grandsons.

Serious Accident at Shaw Station Injures Three
A scaffolding collapse at Sherman Shaw’s home near Shaw Station on Wednesday left Shaw with a broken arm, Charles Baldwin with a broken arm and a dislocated hip, and George Daniels uninjured except for a fall caught by a window. The family’s quarantine prevented hospital admission, two Amboy doctors were summoned, and Baldwin’s brother Joe Baldwin returned from Ashton to aid as nurse.
