Ashton High to Graduate 21 in 28th Commencement
The Ashton High School 28th annual commencement will be held Friday evening in the high school auditorium. Dr. Wirt Lowther will give the commencement address on The Four fold Secret of a Great Life. The class of 21 includes fifteen girls and six boys, the largest in school history. Class day exercises occur Thursday evening. An auction sale will close up millinery stock Saturday at 2:00 PM.

Mrs William Cleary Dies After Paralytic Stroke
Mrs Dorothea Kliebe Cleary, daughter of Gertrude Kliebe, died at 37 after two paralytic strokes. Born November 9 1878 in Wedzenhausen Germany, she married William Cleary March 30 1898 and lived in Rochelle since 1908. Survived by husband, daughter Gertrude age ten, mother, three sisters and three brothers. Funeral from home to St Patrick's Church with burial in Rochelle Catholic cemetery.

Mrs. Theiss, widow of the former pastor of Ashton and Reynolds Evangelical churches, died suddenly during a visit to Belvidere after a brief illness. The funeral was held Saturday in Naperville.

Ashton's Community Picnic Promises Large Attendance
Next week Wednesday marks Ashton's big picnic with plans for a larger event if weather cooperates. A. M.
