Samuel Smucker Killed in City While Working on Sterling Train
Samuel W Smucker a long time Northwestern baggage man died after a coupling accident on the Sterling passenger in Chicago last Wednesday. He was crushed above the skull when the tender and car corners pressed together. Funeral held at Sterling on Sunday with burial in Morrison Cemetery. He was nearly fifty, survived by a wife and four children, and had 22 years of service with the railroad.
