Ashton Cemetery planned renovations to improve grounds
The Ashton Cemetery Association approved a two acre new tract drafted by M. N. Glenn and will relocate the receiving vault toward the back with a front drive forming a Y shaped junction at the Soldiers and Sailors monument donated by Mills and Petrie. Perpetual care will be offered with new lot sales under a state law empowering cemetery officials.

Reception for United Evangelical pastor lands in Ashton
Church members held a Friday reception in the basement after an auditorium program honoring Rev. and Mrs. F. W. Landner who moved from Chicago. The event featured music by a Sunday school orchestra, a male quartet, readings, solos, and prayers, with about 130 attendees enjoying brick ice cream, cake, and coffee.
