Millican Hunt 95 Years Remembered in Lafayette Area
Funeral services for Mrs. Millican Hunt were held yesterday morning with interment at Washington Grove. Born Nancy Ann Reed in Vigo County Indiana on December 1 1824 she married William Hunt November 19 1845 and moved to Lafayette township in 1846. She lived in Franklin Grove Rochelle and Ashton Illinois and was a longtime DAR member and Baptist then Methodist. Her Christian faith sustained her through an injury in 1906 and she died at age 94 years four months six days after a long illness.

Gas Plant Shutdown Delayed by Gasoline Shortage

Lucy Sanders Sloggett aged 48 years 10 months 9 days died near Ashton on May 29 1870 1919 after illness. She married John Sloggett on July 26 1893 and had two daughters Alma and Ethel. She joined Franklin Grove Methodist Church early, later Ashton Presley church, and aided community church work. Survived by husband two sons in law and siblings Henry Moorehead MN Winfield Danbury IA and a sister in Fairfield PA. Funeral Thursday at 2 4 oclock Presbyterian church Franklin Grove with Rev. Manshardt. interment at Franklin.
