Woodmen Meet at Paw Paw for County Convention
The Modern Woodmen of America held its triennial county convention at Paw Paw last Wednesday with 41 of 57 delegates present. Joseph Dauntlet of Dixon was elected chairman and George Hyde of Pawpaw secretary. Delegates to the Rock Island state convention May 6 were named with instructions to replace old officers and ensure a clean slate. The next county meeting will be in Steward in 1917.

Odd Fellows Installation Marks New Officers in Ashton Lodge

The filing alleges an August ordinance by M. N. Glenns hardware store board of trustees requires gates to be placed by November. Despite proper notification, no erection action has occurred. The suit was filed late Friday before circuit court term closing.
