William Elijah Yocum of Lee county Illinois died March 26 1914 at his home north of Franklin Grove aged 62 years 5 months and 24 days after a paralysis onset earlier that day He was born October 2 1851 in Bloomsburg Pennsylvania moved to Illinois in 1877 near Compton and later farmed at Kersten farm He married Hattie E McEra in 1890 and leaves wife four children Clarence Florence Ruth Fannie two brothers and a sister Funeral services were held at the Yocum home March 28 and at Berg church near Compton with burial nearby.

Farmers Telephone to Install New Switchboard and Underground Lines
