Heibenthal was re elected for his third term Tuesday over J W Guese by 173 majority. Bradford township approved a five year tax for hard roads 49 to 16. Reynolds township saw Charles Ewald lose to James M Nealis 187 to 78. L B Miller highway commissioner Charles Schaneberg trustee and Willard Hawthorne justice were elected without opposition. William A Hunt was re elected Lafayette township supervisor for 32 years.

Hunt held the office from 1881 to 1887 and has served continuously since 1890 with no opposition. Bennett Nettleton was elected Justice of the Peace. In China township Ira Trostle won supervisor over George D. Black by 298 to 79, with tallies 195 108 298 for Trostle and 58 21 for Black.
Township Sunday school convention planned for month end
Ministers and Sunday school superintendents meet at Farmers State Bank to plan a three session township convention for the last Sunday of the month. Rev. R. L. MacWherter presides. Will Be Great Day for Mer Class at Methodist Auditorium
Sunday, April 18th, the Rochelle Methodist Episcopal Sunday school expects 350 in attendance. A large men’s Bible class from the Presbyterian church, over 200 members, will join Mr. Rosecrans to study The Shepherd Psalm at 9:30. The event may require using the church auditorium for classes and invites all nonmembers to attend.
