Boy Rescued From Thinning Ice at Wesley Lake
A ten year old boy ventured onto a thin log at Wesley Lake on the Ocean Grove side and was pulled to safety by Special Policeman William Tanturd, standing in for his father Frank Tantum. The boy had been warned by his mother not to go on the log and fled toward his home on the Asbury Park side after reaching land.

Bullock Body Photographed to End Doubts in Red Bank Murder
The body of William Bullock, the Red Bank murderer, will not be returned to Freehold from Portsmouth Va. It was photographed to dispel doubts about the death in Norfolk county jail. If unclaimed by Bullock's wife, who lives in North Carolina, the body will be buried in Portsmouth or given to doctors.

The Lewis block at Cookman avenue and Bond street was sold at sheriff sale to W Tabor Parker of Little River for 24400. Parker held a 2000 third mortgage. Valentine Marsh of New York held a first mortgage of 18000. Asbury Park and Ocean Grove Bank claimed 92800. neither Marsh nor the bank loses under the deal.

Uriah White in Critical Condition After Illness
Uriah White of Bond Street and Lake Avenue lies unconscious at home from a severe attack of brain congestion. The illness struck yesterday at noon followed by spasms lasting some time. Physicians call the case very serious, noting four prior similar attacks this fall, none as severe as this.

Buried Mail Case Ends With Discharge in Camden Jail
Charles L. Ireland former Millville letter carrier was discharged from Camden county jail after awaiting trial for burying mail. United States Commissioner Willard J. Morgan ruled the fault lacked a revised statute. A large mail consign ment could not be accounted for and Ireland confessed to burying it after saying the load grew too heavy. A new invoice of ready to wear clothing arrived at Brembsch stores with prices about one third lower.

The funeral of a collie dog owned by John V. Morris a clerk took place in Long Branch yesterday afternoon. The dog was buried in a casket and many mourners attended. Dr George B Herbert administered last rites at the event.
