Bay of Pigs vets seek hearing on flag suit
Bay of Pigs Veterans Association, angry at a UPI charge they lack standing, will ask that their U.S. District Court suit be heard for recovery of the 2506 Brigade flag. The group filed last April against the U.S. government for return of the flag, saying it is government property on loan from Kennedy Library. The flag, given to John F Kennedy in 1982, was tied to the 1961 failed attempt to overthrow Fidel Castro's regime.

Cher and Allman Seen Secluded at Doctor's Home
UPI reports Buffalo Evening News said Cher and rock guitarist Gregg Allman spent two days in seclusion at a Buffalo area doctor's home. A law firm spokesman confirmed Cher arrived Wednesday to discuss the future away from publicity. Cher filed for divorce July 9 after their surprise marriage.
