Meeting of Associated Chambers Postponed to June 11
The Associated Chambers of Commerce monthly meeting, planned for next Tuesday in San Dimas, is postponed to Tuesday June 11 due to a visit from the 143rd Piela Artillery. Secretary C P Bayer says the 142nd Piela Artillery band and regiment talent will perform at the Greek theater in Ganesha Park Pomona on June 4 at 8 p.m. with 25 cent admission, all proceeds to the regimental fund.

Fruit Growers Urge 1 Cent Fare for Farm Labor
In Fresno California on April 27 1918 a meeting of fruit growers holding term contracts with canners and packers adopted a resolution urging the Food Administration to secure a one cent a mile railroad fare for farm labor for the 1918 1919 season. H P Stabler of Yuba City chaired the meeting and growers were urged to pass similar resolutions to the California Development Board.
