Red Cross Harvest at Fourth of July Fair
Red Cross sales of chicken tamales sandwiches and coffee at the Fourth of July celebration raised over 100 dollars. City clerk Misa Ethel Grimes served as cashier between 12 and 2 pm as Hamilton tamales sold fast. Mrs C B Berry, with Spanish parentage from Old Mexico, baked 230 tamales at 26 cents each, drawing repeat orders after word spread. It was a successful day.

Thieves Caught With Stolen Hay In City Court
