Fires Sweep Two Homes in Anniston Yesterday
Two small fires drew Anniston fire department crews shortly after noon. At J.T. Murphy’s home near Fourth Street and Pine Avenue the roof burned away but rapid action by three companies prevented further damage to nearby houses. A second blaze on Brown Avenue between Fifteenth and Sixteenth Streets caused little damage.
