A passenger train wreck near Berry, Alabama, killed thirty two and injured eighty one when seven cars derailed after the engine swung around an embankment. Most victims were African American. several identified white staff died or were injured.
Two masked men rifled the local safe on the Louisville and Nashville through train No 2 between Nashville and Franklin Tennessee. Messenger A B Battle stood with revolver drawn as one suspect Gus Hyatt, recently escaped from the Tennessee penitentiary, was named. Loss estimated about 500 in packages since Montgomery Alabama. No clue on escape direction. police pursue case.

Carter says the death resulted from a self defense incident after a brick attack and insult dispute. Carter surrendered and was placed in jail with murder charges awaiting Thursday continuation.
J. J. Cox of Valley View Kentucky suffered severe kidney trouble and swelling that left him bedridden. He credits Foley's Kidney Cure with restoring his health after doctors failed to provide relief.
