Mrs Milligan and her two daughters were thrown from a buggy when a horse pulling their vehicle ran down a steep Main street hill in Jacksonville. Mrs Milligan suffered a dislocated hip and serious bruising with possible internal injuries, while the daughters escaped major harm. The horse, frightened near Frances avenue, dashed toward the town square and overturned them. the buggy was demolished and occupants slid down an embankment.
