Anniston and Calhoun Rifles Impress at State Fair Opening

The Anniston Rifles and Calhoun Rifles returned from Birmingham after taking part in the state fair opening ceremonies and price drills. Calhoun Rifles placed fourth in the prize drill. Anniston did not enter. The Oxford company won 50 for the largest parade turnout.

Word comes from Anniston of the death in Christoval Texas yesterday at 5 40 am of Claude H Robinson a brother of Mesara T L and W A Robinson He had spent months in Texas for health reasons and had recently returned to Anniston before again traveling there He was a member of the Robinson Brothers cotton firm until last August and his passing brings sorrow to many friends with funeral plans not yet fixed but likely to be held in Anniston
