Oct 23 Montgomery reports Gov Jelke has paroled Will Scott of Sumter county on the condition he return to the penitentiary to serve out his time after testifying against his brother who is charged with murder in Sumter county. Scott was convicted in 1901 of murder and sentenced to five years. This parole under such terms is said to be unprecedented in Alabama.
