Woodstock Ironworks tears down Furnace No 3 at its plant to rebuild it at a cost of 115000 completing by February 1 raising daily capacity from 190 to 300 tons. Upon completion Furnace 4 will be relined and ready to boost total pig iron output to 600 tons daily The company aims permanent operation in Anniston.

Freight wreck near Piedmont disrupts passenger service
A double header extra freight train derailed about a mile south of Piedmont this morning injuring no one. Several cars were demolished and the southbound Southern passenger train was forced to detour via Bb. & W. to Duke and then to Anniston along L. & N. track.

Paul Romare of Atlanta as trustee for bondholders filed in the U S Circuit Court at Birmingham a bill to foreclose a deed of trust on machinery and 3156 acres of Broken Arrow Coal and Mining lands securing bonds totaling 107750.
