Three Die in Missouri Pacific Frisco Train Collision
In Kansas City on October 13 a collision between Missouri Pacific and Frisco freight trains in switch yards at St. Louis Avenue and Santa Fe Street left three dead and three injured, one seriously. The deceased were A. L. Johnson and John Murphy of Missouri Pacific and George Kirkpatrick, a Frisco flagman. The Frisco train stood on the crossing when the Missouri Pacific train struck, overturning a freight car that toppled onto bystanders awaiting the Frisco’s clearance.

Montgomery Oct 13 Gov Jelka attached his signature to the Lusk redistricting bill after strong pressure. The measure creates seventeen judicial circuits by taking Cleburne Clay and Randolph to form a new seventh district which will include Calhoun Talladega and Shelby counties.
