In Atlanta 200, Spencer shops 500, Selma 46, Knoxville 50 workers plus 75 apprentices, Birmingham 100, and other locations report 25 to 75 out. The action follows a failed wage demand of 25 percent and ten hour day, with an official refusal and order to strike by James O Connell of Washington.
