Bales Convicted Again in Liquor Sales Cases
H C Bales was convicted before Recorder Green on two liquor sale charges, fined 100 dollars plus costs, and given six months street sentence in each, totaling 205.40 dollars and twelve months on the streets. A prior sentence adds 102.70 dollars and six months, bringing the grand total to 308.10 in fines and a year and a half on the streets. Parnell Newfoundland October 6 Miss Clara Watson was killed and four other passengers fatally injured in a head on collision between a southbound Illinois Central passenger train and a northbound excursion train. Four Men Fatally Burned After Temple Train Wreck
Santa Fe train No 17 wrecked near Temple Texas early this morning. Engineer McGinnis was scalded to death and one other person died from the wreckage.
