An accidental gas explosion in coal mine No 20 at Bonanza Arkansas yesterday afternoon killed thirteen miners in entry K. About 175 workers were in the shafts, with rescue efforts hampered by torn timbers and obstructed passages for hours before the first body was recovered.

In New Haven on November 25 Tony Cineo aged 24 is reported to have a bullet lodged in his brain after a companion played with a pistol. Doctors at the hospital probed unsuccessfully for the bullet and found the young man alive but mentally unresponsive.
Firefighters were called around 7 a.m. to a blaze in the roof kitchen at the home of Mr. L Levi on Seventeenth Street and Quiotard Avenue. A spark from the flue caused the fire. fishes were swiftly extinguished with little damage. The house belonged to Mr. M F Doering.
