MO W Noble urges re election of Thomas E Kilby arguing he has improved city governance and business methods. The letter rebuts charges of rigour and alleges opponents misrepresent Kilby and favor workers while stressing Kilby’s support for honest labor and new industry in the town.
The weather bureau orders storm warnings from Mobile to Dunnellon as a Southwest storm approaches. Gulf coast barometer falling rapidly with brisk to high winds and rain expected tonight.
Rev. M. A. Boley died at 11 o'clock this morning at his Mulberry street residence after a long illness. The funeral is set for tomorrow afternoon at 2. Royal Oak lodge No. 106 I O O F will meet at the lodge room and attend in a body. Mountain Oak encampment will meet at 1 and attend. He was a Mason and his lodge brothers will also attend.
Mrs. E. W. Patman died at her home in Ward Five after a long illness. Funeral arrangements are not yet set but services will be held tomorrow afternoon with interment in Oxford cemetery. The bereaved family is greatly comforted by the sympathy shown.
A message from Thos. E Kilby and John W Noble appeals to unionized workers to vote for candidates aligned with labor interests. Special to the Star reports that Signor Enrico Caruso did not appear in court on the disorderly and indecent conduct charge, his counsel saying he is suffering from seratica. Mrs. Graham, the complainant, was also not present as Caruso is said to have collapsed completely.
Asheville jurors praised the posse that shot and killed Harris alias Rafe Lindsey, calling them public spirited citizens and saying the members are entitled to the commendation and thanks of the whole community. The coroner's jury issued the verdict November 17.

A large turnout attended the Wikle rally at Noble Street Theater with Dr J L Wikle praised as upright by Major Allen and sharp partisan barbs from supporters. Speakers argued the opposition’s motives, denounced a publisher’s attack, and urged backing for Wikle amid a calmer, less spontaneous crowd.
