A cyclone struck near Montevallo on November 14 damaging multiple W Y Aldrich coal operator houses and the Hutchings barn. A pine trunk blasted through a tenant house and a large box flew two miles into a farmer’s barnyard. A blue black storm cloud and deafening noise accompanied a two mile timber swath east of Montevallo before clearing.
