A Druggist from Parkesburg reports a cholera scare in Anniston aftermath. A visitor claimed a bottle of Kermet's Ext Cherry cured a severe bout after taking 19 doses. He contrasts the cost of 89 cents a bottle and endorses the remedy as the market’s best.
Notice of tax sale decreed by the Probate Court of Calhoun County Alabama dated May 1900. Lands and lots listed, due taxes and costs for year 1900 and prior, to be sold by the Tax Collector at the courthouse door in Anniston on Monday June 7 1000 during legal hours to satisfy taxes and costs.
The Southern Car and Foundry rolling mill, closed for about two weeks, will restart in full next Wednesday. The plant employs 350 or more skilled workers with daily wages of 4 to 6 dollars, and the restart will significantly boost the payroll.

The Southern Railway announces reduced round trip fares to Louisville Kentucky for the United Confederate Veterans annual reunion from May 30 to June 5 1900. Tickets available from Tennessee May 28 29 and 30 and from other points May 27 28 and 29 with return by June 10 1900. An extension to June 25 1900 may be earned by depositing tickets with the joint terminal agent at Louisville by June 4 and paying 50 cents. Sleeping car reservations and information available from local Southern Railway ticket agents.
