Oxford Lake Park Promotes Free Public Pleasure Ride
The Oxford Lake Park improvement effort makes the site more attractive this spring with an expanding entertainment hall. The Street Railway Co aims to draw visitors from Anniston and surrounding towns and will add attractions if the public supports them. The park remains free for county residents using the trolley and well-behaved visitors, and open cars will run when weather permits. A fourteen mile round trip ride is offered for those who notify the conductor and pay the 10 cent fare, with special 20 cent round-trip tickets including a 15 cent boat hire coupon.
