Montgomery Blaze Destroys Todd Store on North Court Street

A fire at 20 o'clock in Montgomery destroyed Todd's store on North Court street opposite Fleming's restaurant. Stock valued at 10,000 with 3,000 in rance. building owned by P. N. Tyson valued at 5,000 and insured. Todd's stocked with cartridges and explosives, threatening the block before firefighters cleared the debris.

Flames Sweep Over Six Acres and Forty Dwellings

Flames swept five of six acres near Marietta street and Ponders avenue destroying thirty four dwellings and a Ware Furniture Manufacturing three story factory. Loss about 130000 with 40000 insurance. Many residents are low income and face destitution as households were burned and goods damaged.

Jury Still Out in Jackson vs Southern Case

The jury in the J. M. Jackson vs. the Southern case retired yesterday after Judge Pelham's charge and remains out with no verdict time indicated. Two Suffocated in Geneseo Hotel Fire

Fire at the American Hotel in Geneseo New York this morning killed Lafayette Carney and Sherman De Boray of West Sparta and left an unknown woman dead. Miss Skidmore jumped from a veranda and was seriously injured as the fire trapped guests.

Eleven Horses Burned To Death In Big Dairy Fire

A blaze at the Atlanta Dairy company stables on the corner of Bartow and Luckie streets killed eleven horses and fatally injured two others. Of fifteen horses, four escaped the flames, with two only slightly hurt. The two severely burned were later shot to end their suffering.
