Barn Destroyed By Suspected Incendiary Fire
J D Rhodes of near Golden Springs lost barn and contents in a Wednesday night blaze. Loss estimated at 1200 to 1500 dollars with no insurance. Two milch cows perished, one burned, three mules died or nearly so, and all feed and grain including 100 bushels of corn 35 to 40 bushels of wheat and other produce were destroyed. Neighbors awakened Rhodes about 10 o clock after he retired at nine. Fire thought to be incendiary. no known enemy or motive. Upper part of the structure burned first, raising suspicions of arson.

May Lead to Church at Anniston Yarn Mill Area
Since January 4 a spirit of religious fervor has grown in the Anniston Yarn Mill neighborhood. Services are held twice weekly, Sunday at 2 40 p m and Thursday evenings, led chiefly by Rev Noah Stevens. Meetings occur in a grove when weather allows and in homes otherwise. The gatherings are said to do much good and may lead to an eventual church organization in the area.
