Hon Alfred L Tyler died in New York from Brights disease. News reached his son Capt A L Tyler Jr who rushed from Heflin. Survived by his wife and two daughters Emily of Anniston and Mrs W D Kelly of Chattanooga. Funeral at Grace Church and burial at Hillside Cemetery planned after Mrs Tyler’s recovery.

Elevator accident injures ten at Akron plant
Akron June 3 Ten persons were injured, one possibly fatally, when an elevator at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company freight shaft dropped twenty two feet. The car carried ten workers in addition to the usual cargo and was reported overloaded.
