A movement in Anniston seeks to extend its corporate limits to include Oxanna. Petitions circulated claim consolidation would bring free mail delivery fire protection water and sewerage and attract new industries without raising taxes. The plan would add about two thousand residents and bring closer business and social ties.
A sister from the Maison de Jesu Enfant at Ning-Po describes the Nanking massacre of one hundred boys. She reports boys roasted in the church, others fled to an orphanage outside the city, all killed and the place burned despite torture threats and rare mercy. Coal supplies urged with local ads.
A minor roof fire at a Negro cottage on Pine Street between Fifteenth and Sixteenth drew the department at 10:15 this morning but caused little damage. During the response, a horse belonging to Daniel Tyler reel No. 1 slipped and fell on the bridge, delaying the reel briefly. the horse suffered only scratches.
Reverend C W Pruitt, missionary in North China for nineteen years, will speak at Parker Memorial church tonight at seven o'clock. The talk promises an informative and interesting account of his work overseas.

An alarm at 9 o'clock sent firefighters to the Caldwell building where a small blaze started on the second floor. The fire was extinguished within minutes and caused no damage.
