Postmaster L. T. Smith was notified that a new rural mail delivery route from Anniston will start Tuesday January 15. The route extends northeast to Weaver Station and covers 27 square miles serving 535 people on 107 houses. Charles P. Harrison will operate the route. another Anniston route is being pursued.
David Ogilvie of the Bon Air Golf Club Augusta Georgia visits Anniston to stake off grounds for the newly organized Highland Golf Club. He will provide plans and specifications for grounds and share information with the club leadership led by president FE A Marshall.
The property of the old Corning Land and Loan company sold to the highest bidder at noon today by trustee W. P. Acker. J. W. Corner of Savannah bought the larger portion. H. M. Hubbard of New York bought the remainder representing an interested estate. Property lies in the northern and western sections of the city.

Southern Car and Foundry Co receives an order for five hundred heavy box cars for the Choctaw Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad. The Anniston plant will build the larger and unusually heavy cars, requiring more work and material and likely taking several months to complete. The delivery will boost activity at the Anniston plant.
