Boers Capture English Fort in Bechuanaland Fight
From Kuruman in British Bechuanaland Field Cornet Visser reports a bombardment of Kuruman ended with the garrison surrendering. The Boers took 120 prisoners including Captain Bates and Captain Dennison, the magistrate Hildyard, eight other officers, and seventy natives. Fifteen British were wounded and are under care.
