Forester tried on illicit distilling charge in city court

W. K. Forrester of Cleburne county was brought by Deputy Marshal Edwards and tried before Commissioner Randolph at 10 am on a charge of illicit distilling. He was remanded to the county jail in lieu of bond set at 200 dollars. Forrester and Ross operated a large beacham area still discovered January 27 by Deputy Collector J W Kitchens and a posse. The operation ceased with the destruction of the still. Forrester claims mere presence and denies involvement. He will await action by the United States grand jury at Birmingham.
