Rufus Jones of Balsam Mountain near Knoxville survived a knife assault last week when an attacker struck him above the left ear. The blade lodged in his brain and was removed after a trepanation. clinicians say he has a chance to recover. The assailant, Doncan Duncan, escaped and is at large.
