Russian earthquake devastates Andijan with thousands dead
A Russian earthquake near Andijan killed about 4800 people, with 1600 in Andijan town. Carson’s Wounds Proved Fatal in Local Tragedy
Dec 30 in Florence Captain Calvin Carson who gave carbolic acid to his crippled granddaughter and cut his throat died at the city hospital. A former county sheriff and Circuit Clerk, he served in the Confederacy from private to captain and left savings for funeral expenses. Camp O’Neal Confederate Veterans buried them at 2 pm yesterday.
