Ugly Fire Threatens Boston Shopping District

A morning blaze in a six story furniture store in Boston spread to adjacent buildings including the Orpheum theater. Four buildings were wrecked and the Orpheum sustained heavy damage. The fire left the starting building gutted and the total loss is expected to exceed 500000 dollars.

Professor Karl Han Ordered Extradited for Murder of Mother-in-Law

London dispatch reports Prof Karl Han of Washington remanded for extradition to Germany on a murder charge. He collapsed in court and was carried to his cell in an unconscious state. Since imprisonment he has deteriorated physically.
