MontcGom Mary Ala Dec 16 Phares Coleman reporter of the Supreme Court of Alabama has received a telegram from Beaumont Texas notifying that the oil company of which is president has struck a gusher. The company was organized in Montgomery and the stock is all held neat.

In Milwaukee on December 8 Illiane Jennings Bryan told Northwestern Mutual Life officials that he had twice suffered the "Presidential fever" and has fully recovered. An Lincoln agent had urged him to take a policy with the company after lengthy negotiations that continued for some time.

Four or more men quit, one due to an $18 dispute with the company, others in sympathy. Remaining staff are unhappy and heavy shop work will be sent to Atlanta and Knoxville, costing Selma thousands as six engines are badly damaged and require about $25,000 in repairs. Two engines go to Knoxville and two to Atlanta, with the rest to follow. Future work at Selma shops will be light repair only.
