The Y W C A opened in Anniston ten days ago with Miss Mary Wallace Kirk as general secretary. Mrs W H Robey of Boston visited Camp McClellan and supported the drive to raise four million dollars for Y W C A work. Membership costs 50 cents for under 18 and $1 for adults with programs including French classes lectures and Bible study. A French class begins Tuesday at seven with Mrs Theika Mayer teaching.

Soldiers join front as two killed in Carolina crash
Four wounded when a motor truck carrying Brooklyn soldiers collided with a Charleston and Carolina train near Spartanburg. The victims are Privates Martin Curti and Joseph Curti. Injured are Corps Hoyt, Private Keehul, Corporal O’Neil, and a negro fireman. All were with the 47th regiment, 27th division, at Camp Wadsworth.

French Hold Against German Breakthroughs on Meuse Front
