Governor Longino reports the state treasury on August 15 showed 677 846 against 840 468 expected, a shortage of 162 621. Treasurer Stowers credited for due bills, leaving shortage 107 621. The governor notes the report follows constitutional requirements and offers Stowers a chance to respond. Stowers did not speak.
