Shooting affray in Oxford injures local meat wagon operator
About six o'clock this morning in Oxford G. W. Luttrell who runs a meat wagon was shot in the side by W. F. Higginbotham as Luttrell drove down McPherson Street. Higginbotham fired without warning, wounding Luttrell in the right side above the hip. Continued on page four.

Constitutional convention to adjourn by mid next week
President John B. Knox said in Birmingham the constitutional convention will finish its work and adjourn by mid next week. He expects ratification of the new constitution and does not anticipate an extra legislative session after adoption.
