In Cincinnati on August 9 Thos F Kenna, described as acting queerly for days, threw his three year old from a four story apartment window and leaped after. The child died instantly and Kenna died a short time later.

Coeell M. Truss a Birmingham lawyer and East Lake city attorney was struck and killed by an East Lake streetcar near Eighty-first Street and First Avenue at 8 10 last night. His body mangled and brought to Shaw Sons for viewing. He served as president of the East Lake Epworth League and will be buried at Seddon St Clair county this afternoon.
The United Confederate Veterans of Louisiana opened their two day site convention in Baton Rouge with good attendance. The capital city festively decorates with flags and busts as veterans and accompanying ladies anticipate the program full of entertainment and activities.
