London dispatch reports M DeGiers pressing for all communications from the Russian legation to China to be returned. Dr Morrison wires from Pekin that Li Hung Chang will shift to the severity policy and urges troop withdrawal before the rainy season, warning delays could stall moves until autumn. He blames home governments for delays and notes rising anti foreign feeling in Chi Li.
About half the baggage of the Dan Packard Opera Co. was attached at the union depot by Constable J M Sweets at the urging of performers Toby Zara and Violet Stetson who say they were discharged last night and unpaid. Tension arose as the company faced a Birmingham engagement tonight after a rough morning. A portion of the troupe remained at the depot while others boarded a train at Eleventh Street crossing. The troupe delivered a solid show to a small Noble Street Theater audience the previous night.

Rome Georgia April 11 A. B. Arrington brother of a tragedy participant offers a theory that Miss Cleghorn fired the shots and killed her fiancé and herself by mutual agreement. He cites her black dress a small package she carried and a servant told to ignore calls. An eye witness purportedly saw a shot fired by Cleghorn. They were engaged and devoted to each other.
In Summerville Georgia on April 11 a note written by Minnie Cleghorn reveals fear that harm may come to her if Arrington learns of the end of their romance. The note implies Jim Arrington's potential responsibility for any tragedy, deepening the city’s sorrow following the deaths of two prominent youths.
A pastors meeting in Anniston Oxanna and Oxford arranged the approaching Sam Jones gathering at the Auditorium.
