The train stopped, searchers with lanterns failed to find him after hours on the tracks. Porter E J Knox said he heard breaking glass and saw a man go through the opening. Five Civil War Veterans Stabbed at Dayton Home
Five veterans were stabbed in their sleeping cots at the Soldier's Home in Dayton Ohio. William K Huffman a fellow veteran attacked the group causing two likely deaths and three others injured.
