The Woodstock Cotton Mills Co. was fully organized after a meeting attended by stockholders J B Goodwin John J Noble W L McCaa Wm Noble Jas Keith Jr and others. Officers elected were President John TH Noble Secretary Treasurer James Keith Jr and directors J H Noble Wm Noble W L McCaa J B Goodwin Jas Keith Jr. Capital stock totals 60 000 by Noble family 87 500 by Keith and others 2500 each by W Stringfellow and W L McCaa. Articles of incorporation filed with Probate Judge Crook this afternoon and building plans to start promptly.

Rich Needle Ore Discovery Near City by Sproule and Jones
Mr I M Sproule uncovered a rich bed of needle iron ore yesterday on lands just north of the city owned by him and Chicago merchant Dr Jones. The ore appears nearly solid iron and the find is described as unusually important. Dr Jones, who prospected here six weeks ago, will return in a couple of weeks to settle, and mining will begin on an extensive scale.
