Community Flag Dedication Weekend Parade and Activities
A 60 ft steel pole raises a 120 star service flag as Boy Scouts and Camp Fire Girls pledge allegiance. A large parade of cars and lodge units leads into band concerts and a patriotic address by Rev Howland Hanson. Yellowstone Park Trip With Morgan And Engle
During his Montana stay James Morgan and his daughter Mrs Bruce Engle will tour Yellowstone Park. Dr G M Adair discarded his tin Lizzie after hospital overhaul and will drive his car anew. Dr H E Campbell operated on Miss Elizabeth Cannon of Wiota to remove her tonsils last week. The editor enjoyed a larger Sunday dinner thanks to new potatoes from Mrs S V Jenkins. Guy White and family from Menlo visited city with August Pieper and Emaline White. Take off that hot collar and wear a low neck sport shirt priced at 75 cents to 1 25 through Racket.

Rural telephone rates to rise July first 1918
Special notice states the Rural Telephone Company of Anita will increase phone and extension rates by twenty five cents per month beginning July 1 1918 due to higher costs. Turkey Valley lines will also raise rates by twenty five cents per phone per month starting July 1 1918.
