Ruth Wilkins daughter of Rev H J Wilkins of Baxter Iowa married Corporal Donald J Neasham May 1 at Junction City Kansas. Ceremony performed by Dr T W Jeffrey of Kansas City. Neashams travel from Ft Riley to Spartanburg for later duties. Bride Alpha Xi Delta graduate and ex Lena State University instructor. Neasham attended Ames and Iowa City. stationed with 6th sanitary train 16th field hospital at Camp Wadsworth.

The Anita area lists young men aged for military service since June 1917, naming Leslie Bell through James Wilbourn plus others. In Cass County district court, Henrietta Liter et al contest a will of Andrew Liter alleging undue influence by his niece Elle Close who received about 8000 dollars of the estate. Liter died recently in Anita leaving an estate around 840,000. Attorneys J. B. Swan and Ziegler & Ziegler represent the plaintiffs.
