Magnolia plans wildcat test in Dawson County near Lamesa

Magnolia Petroleum Company moves to spud No. 1 Fry eight miles south of Lamesa on a 2310 foot offset in section 8, block 35, T-4-N. The 5000 foot well will use rotary drilling after assembling acreage in Dawson County. Nearby nine miles north a 4400 foot test yielded oil shows. offset acreage to the north is held by Mid Continent Petroleum Corporation.
