Recording Star Jan Moore Breaks Into Hollywood Film
Jan Moore, 22, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carter Moore of 700 NE 8th, rises from Andrews High School to star in The Forty Acre Feud as a countrified Juliet. The color film, produced by Bill Packham and directed by Ron Ormand, features Minnie Pearl and Buck Owens and will be released this summer as Moore undertakes a national promotional tour.

Sinclair Oil & Gas Co filed for No 9173 Skelly University as a new producer in the Shafter Lake pool of Andrews County. Projected to total depth 11 100 feet, the location sits eight miles northwest of Andrews and 11 miles southeast of Andrews in Section 1, Block 41, T-3-N G&M MB&A survey. The well produced 102 barrels of 28.2 gravity oil with 3 percent water daily from 6,521 to 6,850 feet after acidizing with 4500 gallons and with a gas oil ratio of 418 to 1.
