Housewife Shot Dead in Northwest Andrews Home
Jenny Sue Kalb a 25 year old housewife and mother of two was found shot to death at her residence 1410 NW 9th in Andrews Texas. Her husband Charles Kalb returned home shortly after 10 30 am and discovered her body lying on the bed with a 32 20 Colt revolver nearby. Police and sheriff investigations are ongoing with an inquest ordered by Peace Justice Owen Doggett and lab reports awaited. The couple had lived in Andrews two years after moving from Tulsa. Kalb’s children aged five and two were at home across the street during the incident.

Boy Struck By Car Injures Lea Is Fractured
A 1964 car driven by Mrs. Eric Walker struck Kenneth Strohl at the Broadway NW 2nd intersection at 10 30 a m on Wednesday causing a compound fracture to the left leg and bruises. Kenneth was taken to Permian General Hospital in good condition. Walker was uninjured. Damages totaled 85. The crash is under investigation by Chief James Clark and Captain R W Tipton.
